Anime Discord Bot

Inspiration

I wanted to try discordjs and I love anime so I thought of combining them.

What it does

It waits for commands in a chat and return either a gif, an anime, a manga or a dad joke.

How we built it

Using discordjs.

Challenges we ran into

The kitsu API is very slow(10 seconds per request) - problem not resolved.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Clean code separation

What we learned

The discordjs API and it's uses.

What's next for Anime Discord Bot

I would love to implement a database that stores different things(like anime preferences for members).

Built With

• discordjs
• express.js
