Inspiration

Our inspiration for the Animal Detection System came from the lack of easy knowledge that different species have.

What it does

The Animal Detection System uses an image uploaded by the user and uses an AI trained with many different animal pictures then matches the picture provided with the training data and returns the animal name.

How we built it

We built the Animal Detection System using software components. There are lots of different packages and libraries that all work together to pull information from Wikipedia and use AI to detect the animal picture that was uploaded.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges we faced was integrating multiple software components into a seamless system. We also had to overcome technical hurdles related to data processing and communication between the various devices.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to incorporate different parts of the internet seamlessly to be able to recognize the animal and then provide lots of information about the animal.

What we learned

We learned a great deal about the complexities of developing a complex technology, particularly when it comes to integrating multiple software components. We also gained a deeper appreciation for the animals and that suffer in the tropical environment.

What's next for Animal Detection System

We plan to continue refining and improving the Animal Detection System, with a particular focus on enhancing its accuracy and scalability. We also hope to expand its reach to a wider range of species and ecosystems, helping to protect even more endangered and critically extinct animals.
