Inspiration

We have seen many anime websites that have give a variety of different interactions such as helping someone to find an anime to watch. So we decided to try the same thing so that we get more experience with using Apis and displaying content from the api on a webpage. Intending to learn how we could do it better the next time after this hackathon ends.

What it does

Our website allows all to get a random anime if you are looking for something to watch, and allows you to find something to watch provided you choose the genres you want.

How we built it

We built it using VSCode using Live Share (Microsoft), Express the web framework for Node.js, and using an api called AniApi. We used Microsoft Azure to host the website. link

Challenges we ran into

Our team didn't have much prior experience using the web framework express so it was something we had to learn to use after our brainstorm.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we were able to have a website that users will be able to interact with, since just last year all we had to present for a different hackathon was a terminal.

What we learned

  • Express web framwork
  • Html
  • Javascript
  • Css
  • Microsoft Azure
  • How to use Apis
  • How hard it is to have a good idea

What's next for AniHome

The next steps for AniHome are to add more functionality like the other anime websites have.
