Inspiration

I read about the remarkable accounts of British soldiers during World War One who claimed that supernatural entities had helped them in their retreat at the Battle of Mons.

What it does

I wanted to show that films with AI visuals can portray emotion.

How we built it

I wrote the screenplay then used a combination of MidJourney, Google Veo 3.1, and Kling 2.5 Turbo to generate the images. Elevenlabs and Suno provided music and effects. I did the video editing and sound design.

Challenges we ran into

AI image and video generation isn't perfect yet, so fashioning those materials into a cohesive narrative was the biggest challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Mixing traditional filmmaking techniques with modern AI ones to produce a credible short film.

What we learned

That the impossible is sometimes only a few steps away from the possible.

What's next for Angels of Mons

I would like to create groundbreaking films and series using AI visuals.
