Inspiration
We were inspired by the disconnect between startups and early-stage / angel investors who are willing to invest in them. We aim to create a platform that connects these two groups in a two-sided marketplace fashion.
What it does
Our platform allows startups to post "pitches" to the web platform and for investors to log in and view all the proposals posted. Investors can then choose the proposals that are most appealing to them.
How we built it
We build the front-end in ReactJS, and constructed a backend relational database through SQL server. Furthermore, our backend is written in Python.
Challenges we ran into
It was difficult for us to link up the React web apps with the backend.
What's next for AngelLink
Angel Link is looking to further develop and test our site to truly understand what early stage companies and investors require in a platform like this.
