Inspiration
Following competition's prompt, we wanted to develop an application that allowed users in a post-cancer care to take back control of their identity. By not having to constantly worry about appointments and checkups, users will be able to more easily control their data and how it can be used. One of the biggest issues when it comes to post-cancer care are doctor followups and time commitment that they require.
What it does
Our system allows users to use Amazon Alexa to create a seamless connection between doctors and their patients. By allowing users to take back control of their identity, they can be following their daily activities and replying to easy prompts that are going to be analyzed by Alexa and IBM Watson.
How we built it
We created a link between IBM Cloud's Watson and Amazon Web Services' Alexa by utilizing Digital Ocean's Headless Server model via NODE.JS.
Challenges we ran into
It was challenging to connect two competing services. We had to use a server to handle all the logic between AWS and IBM Cloud.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of how much we learned over the past weekend. We had to learn Alexa services and connect various components with no prior experience.
What we learned
We learned how to use cross-platform algorithms in order to connect two competing services.
What's next for Angel
We are planning to continue working on Angel and develop it into a startup.
