Inspiration

My wife is an Anesthesiologist Assistant preparing for her recertification board exam. She quickly discovered that high-quality, comprehensive study tools tailored specifically to the anesthesiology field were surprisingly limited. Recognizing this significant gap in the market, I saw an opportunity to develop a solution that would not only support her but also benefit other professionals in this demanding specialty.

What It Does

Anesthesia Board Prep Pro harnesses the power of advanced AI to generate customized quizzes, detailed study guides, interactive learning modules, and more — all carefully designed to address the unique challenges and knowledge areas within anesthesiology. The platform adapts to the learner’s needs, providing a truly personalized and effective study experience.

How We Built It

Bolt.new, Supabase, and OpenAI! Very limited coding experience. Had to few a few things myself, but relied on fine-tuning the prompts to get the right output.

Challenges We Faced

Some of the harder features like the Study guide and Flash card generation were like hitting a brick wall 1,000 times, and not knowing when you were going to break through.. But Often after 10-15 minute walk away from the computer, and a new prompting strategy we broke through.

Achievements We're Proud Of

I'm extremely proud of the AI Features in this application, Specifically the AI study guide, flash cards and practice questions.. We used AI in a way that is engaging, and feels 'personal' which is hard to do in the state of AI. I'm also very proud of the over all design - leveraged a few tools (ChatGPT, and Manus to nail down the exact design prompt I was looking for.)

What We Learned

Apart from learning Supabase and AI coding from scratch, this journey reinforced the critical importance of effective prompt design, rigorous troubleshooting, and continuous iteration. All in all, I developed a love for Bolt.new throughout this process, and will continue to build here.

What’s Next for Anesthesia Board Prep Pro

Our immediate goal is to engage a select group of anesthesiologists in beta testing, gathering valuable feedback to further refine the platform. Following this, we plan to expand organically within the anesthesiology community, with the long-term vision of partnering with leading anesthesia schools and training programs to become the definitive resource for board exam preparation.
