Inspiration
A family member of one of the team went into surgery.
What it does
It measures the amount of anesthesia that a patient is under and then is able to predict whether the patient will need further amounts of anesthesia, less amounts, or if they need to be held at a constant (job of an anesthesiologist)
How we built it
We wrote the frontend in react-js, and our backend was written in Python using ML
Challenges we ran into
None of us knew frontend or Machine Learning coming into this project, and our initial ideas had to be scrapped due to being too much for just the 36 hour hackathon.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We finished our project despite our initial setbacks and supreme lack of knowledge.
What we learned
We learned a lot of skills (front end development, machine learning, etc), and also how to work as a team, communicate issues, inquiries, ideas with each other
What's next for anesthEASEia
We plan to present it at this hackathon and use this opportunity to devolve new and innovative ideas.
