Inspiration

Our need for connection and our love for community. Media emphasizing the value of the collective being, such as Avatar The Last Airbender, Avatar, Mulan and more. Missing our families and wanting to know more about ourselves.

What it does

Allows users to control the volume of the voices (of ancestors) in their heads, visualize their family tree, tap into a network of stories, and foster a sense of being and belonging.

How we built it

Designed on Figma Design, built on Figma Make, communicated through Figma Slides, ideated in coffee shops.

Challenges we ran into

Visualizing a realistic fantastical tool, debugging and re-prompting on Figma Make, discovering the limitations of AI systems and human stamina.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Exploring Figma Make for the first time and learning how to use its new features to prototype and develop our design concepts. Figuring out rapid prototyping. Learning motion design. Writing scripts, slides, and stories.

What we learned

How to explore and experiment with Figma Make as a new tool in our design process. Gaining a better understanding of how its features can help us quickly prototype ideas, visualize concepts, and iterate more efficiently during early design stages.

What's next for Anemoí

Building out visual input-output interfaces, fleshing out 3D animation of the lily and experimenting with AR/VR functionality.
