Inspiration

Billions of people fall victim to scams with recovery rate as low as 0.05%. I decided to create AnchorLight after losing my entire tuition savings to a scam. I was completely lost and broken, both financially and emotionally. The experience that changed my life’s trajectory for the worst became the blueprint for this platform; to offer the support I desperately needed but couldn’t find.

What it does

AnchorLight helps scam victims take action immediately. Most platforms focus on avoiding scams. Anchorlight focuses on what comes after. It will be the first all-in-one recovery platform built specifically for scam victims offering detection tools, personalised recovery plans, emotional healing, and financial rebuilding support. It starts with a Scam Triage quiz. Based on the victim’s answers, we generate a personalised recovery plan. And if the victim is deep in debt or their assets can’t be recovered? Anchorlight connects them to career and financial rebuilding support through in-house tools or trusted partners. Whether they have lost money, identity, or peace of mind, AnchorLight meets them where they are.

How we built it

It was built using Bolt, and ElevenLabs. Conversational AI from Elevenlabs has been integrated for all the voice commands and prompts but if it falls it goes back to WEBAPI. Thanks to Elevenlabs, Users can also use the speech to text in chats and voice commands.

Challenges we ran into

Deployment became an issue as it couldn't be deployed using Netlify or Vercel. As someone with no background, it is an issue that I am still trying to fix. Neither I nor the Bolt.new platform could resolve the issue, the project has been submitted through the Bolt app (made secret, accessible through url) and is fully accessible there.

What we learned

I have learned that at times it is easier to bring your vision to life with tools like Bolt.new; all you need is to commit.

What's next for AnchorLight

It’s still under development, this prototype was built for the Bolt hackathon but the need is real, and the vision is strong. First, AnchorLight would need more members to build it to its full potential so we can provide the best support possible.
