Inspiration

The idea for ANANTAORA AI Career Guide started with an observation. I was at school events. Talking to my classmates and I noticed that a lot of students were really talented and worked hard. The problem was not that they were not able to do things. It was that they did not know what they wanted to do. Many students were spending years doing things that they were not good at or that they did not like, just because they had never figured out what they really wanted to do.

This made me ask a question: what if every student had someone to guide them with their career?

People who do things whether it is in sports, technology or the arts often have one thing in common: they found something they loved and stuck with it. When you love what you do it does not feel like work. You are motivated to keep going and to get better.

Unfortunately getting help with your career is often expensive and hard to get, for students who go to government schools or come from families that do not have a lot of money.

That is why we decided to build ANANTAORA AI Career Guide. A tool that uses intelligence to help students figure out what they want to do with their lives. It is like having a guide to help you make good choices about your career.

What it does

ANANTAORA AI Career Guide helps students make choices about their careers. It uses intelligence to give students personalized advice.

First the tool asks students some questions. Then it uses the answers to those questions to understand what the student is interested in what they are good at and what they want to achieve.

Based on this information the tool gives the student:

• A suggestion for a career that might be a fit

• Two other careers that the student might like

• Some ideas about what the student is good at

• Some ideas about what motivates the student

• A plan for what the student can do to achieve their goals

• Some practical steps the student can take right now

For example if a student in 10th grade is interested in starting their own business the tool might suggest some classes they can take some skills they can learn and some things they can do to get started.

ANANTAORA AI Career Guide is like a mentor that helps students figure out what they want to do and how to get there.

How we built it

Building ANANTAORA AI Career Guide was not easy. We started with little and had to be creative.

We used some tools that let us build the prototype using just our phones and some other simple tools.

The tool uses:

• Some artificial intelligence models that can understand what people are saying

• Some special questions that help the tool understand what the student is interested in

• Some artificial intelligence workflows that help the tool give the student a plan

• A simple interface that makes it easy for students to use the tool

We wanted to make sure that the tool was easy to use, affordable and accessible to all students.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges we faced were not technical. They were personal.

At one point our team fell apart. We thought about giving up. We did not have a lot of money or the right equipment, which made it hard to keep going.

There were times when it seemed like it would be easier to just quit.

We did not give up. We kept working on the idea getting feedback from students and making improvements.

Those challenges made us stronger and more determined to build something that would really help students.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of what we have achieved far.

• Than 500 students have used the tool and given us feedback.

• Students have told us that the tool has helped them understand what they are good at and what they want to do.

• We built a working prototype of the tool even though we had resources.

• We showed that it is possible to give students personalized career guidance even if they cannot afford it.

Importantly we turned an idea into a real tool that can help students make good choices about their future.

Whats next for ANANTAORA AI Career Guide

Our current prototype is the beginning.

The next version of ANANTAORA AI Career Guide will be even better. It will be able to have conversations with students understand what they are saying and give them personalized advice.

Our plan includes:

• Letting students talk to the tool using their voice

• Adding support for different languages

• Giving students long-term guidance and mentoring

• Letting students have follow-up conversations with the tool

• Giving students a report that they can download and keep

• Helping students understand their strengths and weaknesses

• Giving students many different career options to choose from

• Creating a personalized plan for each student

• Letting students keep track of their progress and conversations with the tool

Our goal is to build a tool that can help every student no matter where they come from or what they can afford. We believe that getting guidance for your career should not depend on how money you have. Our mission is to make personalized career guidance available, to every student.
