Analog Drift

Analog Drift is the sound of a memory breaking. It's a terrifying meditation on a simple idea: that our past is just a dimension a greater presence has learned to access.

Comment

I was inspired by some past events that has happened to me during my college days. I wanted to use found footage feeling and lean on Kuleshov effect to create an unsettling mood.

During the project, I learnt that creating a full blown narrative in horror in short form is extremely challenging and hence it's better to create a mood/atmosphere rather than characters that we can experience the story through. It leads to lot of exposition (in general)

I built my project mainly relying on two tools that are great at text2video -- Sora 2 and Veo 3.1 Main challenge came in keeping the overall aesthetics same and in sound design. The ending bit also took a long time to get it right.
