An Ode to You Inspiration

The poem An Ode to You was written in the summer of 2025, inspired by my daughter and my ongoing work on Art Therapy with MindSoul Meditations. I wanted to create a piece that embodied the healing potential of art and highlighted how poetry, music, and visuals can support mental health and emotional resilience.

What it does

An Ode to You combines spoken word poetry, original music, and AI-generated visuals into a single piece of multimedia art. It is designed to encourage and uplift audiences, offering a reminder of hope and connection. The video integrates narration, music, and visual storytelling to bring the words to life in an immersive way.

How we built it

The process began with recording my spoken word narration. I then experimented with Suno, which transformed my voice into a musical portion that captured the tones and intonations I was aiming for. After downloading the stems, I made minor adjustments to balance the audio.

On the visual side, I worked within my WideWorlds.ai residency. I trained a custom LoRa in a pink diffused LUT style and used it to generate still frames for each scene. With Veo3 built into the platform, I was able to animate those stills into flowing sequences. The project came together quickly, requiring fewer than 200 generations.

For post-production, I edited everything in Filmora, adding transitions, sparkles, shakes, and fades to enhance the rhythm and emotion of the spoken word.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was balancing the narration and music so they complemented each other without overpowering the spoken word. Another was learning how to best train the LoRa style for WideWorlds.ai in order to create visuals that matched the emotional tone of the poem.

Additionally, my original intent was to use my own voice for the narration. However, Suno generated a transformed version of my voice that was unexpectedly beautiful. It matched the music more eloquently than my raw recording, so I made the creative decision to keep that version instead — which required rethinking my original plan but ultimately strengthened the piece.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully blending spoken word, AI music, and AI-generated visuals into one cohesive artistic piece.

Completing the video with fewer than 200 generations in WideWorlds, much faster than expected.

Capturing the emotional core of the poem in a way that resonates both visually and sonically.

What we learned

This project showed me how AI tools like Suno, WideWorlds, and Veo3 can be used creatively for mental health advocacy. I learned how to train a custom LoRa model and refine AI-generated audio and visuals into something deeply personal. It reinforced my belief that technology, when guided with intention, can amplify the emotional depth of human creativity.

What's next for An Ode to You

The video is being submitted to ChromaAwards.com , and I plan to share it more widely as part of my mission to promote art as a tool for mental wellness. An Ode to You also lays the groundwork for future spoken word projects that combine poetry, AI-driven art, and music into immersive therapeutic experiences.
