Inspiration

The project was inspired by the growing need for accessible, AI-driven career tools. Observing how many students and job seekers struggle with interview preparation, resume building, and career guidance led to the idea of creating an all-in-one intelligent platform

What it does

Ment-AI is an all-in-one, AI-powered platform designed to support future professionals by offering:

Voice-based interview preparation with real-time AI feedback
Smart resume builder with customizable templates and tips
Career path guidance based on user interests and industry trends
AI coaching for soft skills, communication, and coding challenges
Integration with popular platforms for portfolio building and sharing

How we built it

Ment-AI was built as a solo project during the Bolt Hackathon to solve a real-world problem: helping freshers and jobseekers practice interviews, build resumes, and find career direction — all powered by AI.

Frontend: React.js – Built a fast and responsive UI with reusable components Tailwind CSS – For clean, mobile-friendly styling and modern design Framer Motion – For smooth animations and interactive UI

Backend: Supabase – Used for authentication, database (PostgreSQL), and email confirmation system Node.js + Express – For custom API routes

AI & Integrations:

Bolt AI – The core AI layer powering: Voice-to-text transcription Real-time AI interview feedback Resume suggestions and smart scoring

Zapier – To automate workflows like notifications, email reminders, etc. Lingo – To add multilingual support (regional and global languages) ChartTower – For visual analytics dashboards and usage tracking Sentry – For real-time error monitoring and debugging RevenueCat – Integrated for future premium model and in-app purchases

Other Tools: OpenAI Whisper or Web Speech API – For voice input (speech-to-text) Code Editor Component (like Monaco or Ace) – For live coding practice

Challenges we ran into
