Inspiration

Degenerative Diseases are always hard to watch and bear. Millions of people around the world are affected. Our product was one targeted at making sure individuals(diagnosed and pre-diagnosed) have an easy, habitual way to help

What it does

Users first measure their EEG signals and we store this data. They then take a "loaded" test where we quickly show them 4 items of a category(say car, plane, boat, train) and then another object of the same context, like a bicycle. People with alzheimer's will often say that the object belonged to that subset and they saw it. This information collected over time and seeing how their brain waves look when they are most accurate/inaccurate can help us prescribe behaviours for them and treat them. Alot of the science is based in meditation, which helps patients with Alzheimers

How I built it

Using Android-Studio & Java

Challenges I ran into

Muse Forums were down and their SDK was inaccurate(some values they said we could retrieve were not attainable). It being closed-source did not help

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Built first Android App Ever.

What I learned

How to build Android Apps, connect with the Muse SDK, analyze the importance of various brain signals

What's next for amuse

Building out a more stable app with a larger question base, use of machine learning to analyze answers.
