Inspiration
As students, we have seen a problem in understanding long documents and articles. This can get tedious, difficult, and time-consuming.
What it does
AMOX lets you upload a pdf file and gives you a summary, the most important points of the article, useful information like most used words and graphs.
How we built it
For the front end development, we used html with bootstrap for the styles and javascript for functionalities. For the backend we used python with the help of flask, pypdf for reading pdf documents and frida AI to generate the information output.
Challenges we ran into
We had never coded on python before or used python´s libraries. Learning that much information in such a short amout of time was a challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We tried till the very end and managed to learn and understand many new technologies such as generative AI, python, flask, etc.
What we learned
We learned that communication between team members is essential.
What's next for AMOX
Making it better for massive use and its components such as google chrome extension.
