Inspiration
Modern work is scattered across chat, documents, spreadsheets, calls, task managers, and file drives. We built Amorphix around a simple idea: teams should not have to reconstruct context every time they switch tools.
What it does
Amorphix brings docs, tables, chat, voice, files, tasks, decisions, mind maps, and AI into one connected workspace. Everything shares the same context, allowing conversations to become structured, AI editable work instead of disappearing into message history.
How we built it
We built Amorphix with Codex (cli) and GPT5.6 which included SvelteKit, TypeScript, Supabase, and the OpenAI Responses API. A shared workspace model connects each content type, while structured AI outputs allow @ai to create native artifacts such as tables and mind maps directly from team conversations.
Challenges we ran into
The hardest challenge was making very different tools feel like parts of one coherent product rather than separate features. We also had to preserve permissions and context across the workspace, make AI-generated output reliable, and keep a feature-rich interface fast and understandable.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created a functional unified workspace where chat, voice, documents, data, files, tasks, and AI can work together. We are especially proud that AI output becomes a real workspace object that can be edited, shared, linked, and acted on—not just copied from a chatbot.
What we learned
Coding with AI is still in the early days: A simple /goal prompt will run for hours without providing the right quality. Thus ultimately one needs to be focused and test each element till its perfect. Nonetheless it allows to build project that would have only been possible in months with considerably larger teams.
What's next for Amorphix: The Ultimate Unified Workspace
Work needs to feel effortless. No more thinking what tool is the right one - a simple tagging of AI with instructions how to present something to a team mate should be sufficient. Every team member might have preferences how to get presented with topics and decisions - and AI will adjust to it.
