Amish's Very First Discord Bot!

  Demo of the !challenges bot command

Inspiration

I created this bot by following the "Build a Discord Bot with Friends using Autocode" workshop by Jacklyn Biggin in MLH's GHW: Share Day 1.

What it does

It crawls the GHW: Share Challenges website and returns a discord embed when !challenges command is run in a text channel of the server where this bot has been added.

How I built it

I built it using Autocode.

Challenges I ran into

I didn't actually run into any challenges since I was following the workshop. But I did brainstorm a lot while following the workshop and tried to debug the errors myself.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud that I made this bot and published it online! I always wanted to do this and now, I finally have. Yayy!!

What I learned

I learned how to use Autocode to build Discord bots. It was really fun to do this and I used all of this knowledge to create another Discord bot called What's the Weather Today? ☁️🤔.

What's next for Amish's Very First Discord Bot!

Nothing significant really! 😅 I might add some fun little commands that send pictures of Shiba Inu though. 🐕
