Amica

Inspiration

Amica (f. Nom. sg.) is the Latin term for friend. Since this app focuses on making friends and this hackathon is focused on minorities in STEM, we thought that this was a fitting name.

What it does

Our app helps students find a social community of students within their college, share cool pics, join new clubs, search for their upcoming events all in one app, and form meaningful, long-lasting relationships.

How we built it

We built it using Figma.

Challenges we ran into

We had to work across different timezones and learn how to use Figma from scratch.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a fully functional prototype in a time crunch.
