Inspiration

Our group wanted to create an online booking web app for American Airlines that helps provide convenient and fast UI/UX to maximum customer experience.

What it does

This site allows customers to Book Flights from 6 airports in our MySQL Database. Customers can also view Covid-19 Travel Restrictions, Login, & Signup to create an account too. Employees can also view all current flights in the database through an Employee Login.

How we built it

Our group used ReactJS and Material-UI for in the Frontend, Node.js for the Backend, Express for our middleware, and MySQL for the database. We implemented several components and to help increase UI/UX.

Challenges we ran into

We will admit, for a 24hr challenge, we definitely ran into some issues here and there with API calls, which would have been resolved if more time was given. We also ran into issues with deployment, our server folder was having issues at the last minute on Heroku, however, MySQL was successfully deployed on Heroku.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our team is proud that we were able to come up with a final product, resulting as much as we did in the time given. We were able to accomplish a challenging task which made us get out of our comfort zone, but it without a doubt helped us tremendously with out multi-tasking we well as our team-working skills.

comments
