American Airlines - R&R Extension

Inspiration

As users of American Airlines, we wanted to create something that will elevate the customer's experience!

What it does

We are including a recommendation and review function in the app. Depending on the airport, the user will be able to read the reviews of each store or restaurant there. For this app, we included review websites such as Yelp and TripAdvisor. We also included an advanced search option so that the user will be able to narrow down the choices. We also added a recommendation section. Here, the user will be able to use it for various operations. If the user has a layover, they could use our extension to explore the tourist attractions in that particular city. It also provides recommendations based on what the user had purchased or enjoyed before!

How we built it

We used Figma to build this project.

Challenges we ran into

We are front-end/design developers, so we did not have much knowledge of the coding aspect. In addition, we had less time to complete the project as we were not able to come up with the idea quickly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Although the challenges were interesting yet difficult, we were proud of the fact that we are able to create something, even if we don't know how to code it. We were also proud of the fact that we were able to create a project that has not been implemented yet.

What we learned

We learned how to narrow down our options and choose which idea was possible. This helped us figure out what we wanted to work on.

What's next for American Airlines - R&R Extension

We plan to include a percentage match. Based on the keywords used, we will be able to generate the stores or restaurants desired and show the user a prediction of how much fits their taste! We will also try to implement this feature for the web development feature!
