Inspiration
As a high school student, we were inspired by life-changing opportunities various education institutions offer. Summer institute programs, educational workshops, research opportunities, internships - are definitely the ones that help teens to find their true passion, meet like minded people and become problem solvers. Sadly, teens and young individuals are unable to find these opportunities due to the lack of resources or the tedious process of searching. Because of that, high schoolers cannot get the maximum from their school years, the school years that lay the foundation of their future life and success. However we have found a solution to this huge problem!
What it does
It is a website that aims to provide high school students with opportunities such as academies, internships, research in top universities, summer institute programs and many more. We are committed to providing opportunities in all career areas from STEM to public speaking and everything in between! Еvery user has access to explore various life-changing programs from top universities and programs directly from our website.
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, Python and Qoom to build our website. Apart from that, we used the programs that education institutions offer as opportunities for our users.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we faced were with the login system, but fortunately were able to get it to work, being able to collaborate on Qoom, and making our buttons be centered.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have coded a fully functioning website in just 2 days! We are also proud of the amount of work and effort we put into our project!
What we learned
We learned more about HTML and CSS. We also learned how to think more about the user’s experience which is why we’ve added alerts about the application, quizzes and different programs to explore.
What's next for Ambitious Youth
We are very happy to state that we will continue the project and realize all of our ideas! We will cooperate with organisations that offer opportunities!
