Inspiration

Our inspiration stems from the experiences of friends and families who were forced to pay incredibly high expenses and bills for the ability to just be able to live. With so much money going into ambulance rides being just a tiny part of hospital visits, our team believed in the idea that there has to be better, more efficient, and cheaper options out there!

What it does

Ambigo allows for trained drivers requests in times of physical injuries that hinders one's ability to get themselves to medical responses. This only entails small injuries that are non-emergencies. Even with this rule, we believe that our application would significantly decrease emergency service waiting times, which would result it quicker medical attention to those who need it more.

How we built it

Our team includes Kirsten, the researcher and data analyst, Rachel, the UI designer, and Vy, the novice android developer.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was converting the looks of the application, which we designed on Figma, into the functionality on Android Studio.

What we learned

We learned that it's not as easy as we has initially thought it was to put together a simple but efficient application. No one wants to read paragraphs of questions and words when they're in pain.

What's next for Ambigo

Hopefully, Ambigo gets recognized for how much necessary it really is in today's world of the ongoing pandemic, lack of medics, and increasing medical expenses for just about every citizens.
