I wanted to see if it would be profitable to open an amazon store and what the logistics would look like. I buy from amazon at least once a month, and I wanted to know if it was worth creating a store, selling items and seeing how much of a profit could be made
What it does
It finds the total sales for each item, the total profit for the item and also the total profit for the store from 3 items priced differently.
How we built it
I built it on Pycharm using python
Challenges we ran into
I couldn't get any of the print statements to print properly to show the total sales and profit for each item and the store as a whole. I think that I may have entered the sales for today incorrectly so that may have thrown everything else off to not be able to print correctly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm happy that I was able to implement how a store on amazon may work profit-wise while working by myself with this being my first hackathon
What we learned
I learned that it was difficult working alone. Even though I did find it hard, I was happy that I found a topic to focus on and create something even though I may not have been able to properly execute it. Perhaps for next time it would be beneficial to work in a team to be able to bounce ideas off and get input for when I get stuck on figuring something out and vice versa.
What's next for Amazon Store
I want to keep working on the code so that the print statements work and I am able to see the sales/ profit for each item and for the store.
I want to add code to see what would happen if there were deficit days and the store made no sales. How would that look and how much money would be lost from wholesale cost and nobody was to buy from the store.
