The problem
Zakat and donations are vital to Islam and essential for maintaining mosques. Since they rely entirely on community funding rather than government support, maintaining strong ties with the Ummah is critical. However, many mosques manage financial transactions informally through WhatsApp groups, phone calls, and verbal agreements. This lack of transparency makes it difficult for donors to verify where their money goes, creating distrust and discouraging people from contributing. Statistics from CharityLink reveal that 12% of people are reluctant to donate due to their lack of trust in where their funds are going and the muslim community is no exception.
The demand
We talked with 2 sheikhs, 2 board directors that worked in multiple mosques, and 4 volunteers. They showed great enthousiasm towards the idea especially the transparency aspect of it. This revealed a critical gap: mosques lack structured systems to manage fundraising, track real-time expenses, or maintain open communication with their donor base. While tools like Tithely successfully serve over 53,000 churches, no tailored, modern platform exists for the Muslim community. To keep the Ummah connected and supported, mosques need dedicated infrastructure built specifically for their operations.
Our solution
To bridge this gap, we built a dedicated platform centered on the Islamic principle of Amanah. The platform logs every single campaign donation and project expense alongside verifiable receipts, providing donors with visibility into how their money is spent, and give more credibility to the project's expenses to build more trust and encourage donors. Beyond financial tracking, it streamlines mosque operations by digitizing service bookings to eliminate back-and-forth phone calls, and provides event creation tools that encourage active community participation. By replacing opacity with verifiable accountability, the platform restores confidence and reinforces credibility.
Future perspectives
Current State: Transparent and traceable donations and expenses, accessible and user-friendly services booking system, events planning.
Short-Term Expansion: Distribute locally to mosques by offering a free trial, add volunteer accounts so they can automatically sign up to events to help, ensure traceability using virtual stripe cards to guarantee credibility of the transactions
Long-Term Vision: Distribute nation and international wide with multiple subscription plans, Build a complete tool suite for mosques, and a shopify-style application for broader communities
