Inspiration

The idea that inspired AMAKK to work on this mission was brought into motivation by one of our teammates “Thaheem” on June 15, 2022, when he was passing through Easton Town Center in Columbus for his Internship work in the morning and saw a spot where people were taking perishable food thrown away by some grocery stores. “A great storm hit the greater Columbus area on June 14, that caused a massive power outage problem for at least 170,000 people who were informed by the city government for a cite to drop off the food spoiled from the power outage” (NBC4 News, June 15, 2022).

What it does

Partnering with local businesses, restaurants, grocery stores and community by simply using a digital smart application. Collecting the food from them that would otherwise be trashed during the closures or contacting expirations, preserving it in AMAKK’s warehouse in Athens location and delivering it with a sustainable model of people to people “those who instantly need” & AMAKK to other Organization “local non-profits serving the same mission”.
