Alvora was inspired by the alarming rise of air pollution in India, where most of the world’s polluted cities are located. We aimed to create a sustainable solution that reduces pollution without contributing to e-waste. During this journey, we learned about algae-based carbon capture, AI-driven air quality optimization, and IoT integration to make technology work with nature. We built the project by developing AI algorithms for real-time AQI sensing, simulating algae health for CO₂ absorption, and designing an IoT-enabled dashboard for monitoring and control. The major challenges we faced were maintaining algae efficiency under varying conditions, integrating AI with IoT for dynamic performance, and overcoming funding limitations for building the physical prototype. Despite these challenges, Alvora stands as a smart, eco-friendly, and cost-effective solution to fight air pollution
