Inspiration
We have always had passion for coding, this was a good start for us to test the coding skills we acquired during the period of eight weeks.
What it does
The system allows users to view available job opportunities and also allows code queen to track the alumni.
How I built it
Shared ideas, opinions and possible solutions to existing challenges. shared UI designs and prototypes not forgetting division of work amongst ourselves with the help of our facilitator.
Challenges I ran into
Limited time, different working preferences making it hard to meet and discuss on the project progress, limited resources eg laptops, network issues, collaborating on one remote repository was challenging in that we had to create multiple repositories because of failure to merge.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
With all the challenges we faced during collaboration, we were able to merge our work into one full system. Being able to participate in the final presentation for the hackathon.
What I learned
We learnt patience, teamwork, working for long hours and persistence.
What's next for Alumni tracker
We are planning to integrate the front with the backend, track user's attendance upon login, use student's score to generate a list of students eligible to participate in the hackathon, add authentication and authorization for different users.
