Inspiration
The inspiration for this idea came from the problems faced by our roommate. When he came to college a few months ago, he gave up on mess food within a week due to the poor quality of food. Now he started searching for food options available outside but he faced many problems, like where to eat, what all food options they provide, what is today's menu, what is the price, is the taste and quality of food good. This pressure and turmoil he was facing every time before every day's lunch and dinner inspired us to make a website that can solve all the problems mentioned above within a few minutes so that other students do not have to face the same problems.
What it does
We want to connect all the canteens, restaurants and catering services around the college with the students so that the problems faced by students.
What's next for Alternative For Mess
Once our model is implemented and accepted successfully in our college ecosystem, then we will expand and implement our idea to other colleges, PGs, offices where employees are dependent on catering services or restaurants for their lunch/dinner. We would include and list the local restaurants, food courts, food stalls, catering services around that particular college, PG or office.
