Inspiration
Recent Covid-19 related healthcare crisis in India has urged me, many other individuals, and many organizations to do something about it. I have carried out some data analyses and published them elsewhere. I wanted to do something more, and I thought an improved design for oxygen delivery can go a long way.
What it does
It offers a conceptual design of a regulator for alternate nostril oxygenation. It consists of a special type of flow direction alternator. During the right cycle, oxygen is pushed Into the right nostril, and carbon dioxide is exhaled from the left nostril. During the left cycle, oxygen is pushed Into the left nostril, and carbon dioxide is exhaled from the right nostril.
How we built it
I studied benefits and techniques of alternate nostril breathing. Based on that, I created a conceptual design of a regulator for an alternate nostril oxygenator.
Challenges we ran into
I did not have much time to convert this conceptual design into a concrete design that can be adopted for manufacturing a product.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This design will have lots of benefits, and it can go a long way in solving the healthcare crisis, now and in future.
What we learned
I have learned benefits of alternate nostril breathing.
What's next for Alternate Nostril Oxygenator
I would convert this conceptual design into a concrete design that can be adopted for manufacturing a product.
