Inspiration:

I'm a sustainability & startup enthusiast and always look for innovating and creating new solutions for the betterment of people and the planet. I won the Strategies in revolution green award the previous year for an innovative green solution in my college. I am passionate about travelling which made me humble towards nature and inspired me to work for a common cause of serving the earth. Being creative I have lots of startup ideas every now and then but recently I stumbled across this idea of creating a platform where I can replace as many non-sustainable goods & services I use in my daily lifestyle as I can. I have a problem with searching for eco-friendly & ethically sourced products & services online where I am constantly bombarded with millions of cheap alternatives that harm the earth during their manufacturing or usage and every day millions of people are consuming them without knowing the implications to the environment. This was a breakthrough for me as there is no other platform that provides this facility and it would make my life so much easier and definitely other lives too.

What it does

This problem gave birth to "ALTER ECO": an Alternative Eco-Friendly lifestyle platform, which covers all types of categories of usual goods & services consumed by people on daily basis. AlterEco platform where you get all types of eco-friendly goods & services available near you, Eg. you open the app and see under the food section that nearby a vertical farm delivers fresh vegetables so you buy it or under the transport section, you have electric cab services near you. It depends on geography if users don't have nearby services they can submit requests and according to demand, we can start those services there. The more users use our app for daily purchases, the more points they get that they can redeem afterwards for some discount or freebies. Our profit goes to planting trees or funding climate change impact innovation so that we're able to gain more attention & goodness with that. There are sites that plant a tree for every product sold so we can aim for the same type of thing. This will not only divert the daily consumption of users towards more sustainable products but also directly support climate change innovations and tree plantation.
