Inspiration

We started by identifying problems we personally face. As immigrants from different countries now living in Germany, we’ve all experienced financial challenges. When we first arrived, none of us had a German credit score even though we were financially stable in our home countries. That meant starting from scratch. Finding an apartment was especially difficult because most landlords required a SCHUFA report. The same problem happens in reverse; if we return home after years abroad, we lose financial activity in our home countries, and our credit resets again.

We assumed many global citizens were facing similar issues, and through market research, we confirmed it.

  • 304 million international migrants were living abroad as of mid-2024, a fast-growing group in need of cross-border credit solutions. (Source: United Nations)
  • 165 million credit checks are processed annually by SCHUFA, which holds data on 68 million people in Germany. (Source: AlgorithmWatch)
  • The global credit scoring market is projected to grow from $8.7 billion in 2024 to $46.2 billion by 2034, with a CAGR of ~18%. (Source: EIN Presswire)

Problem Statement

Global citizens who move to a new country lose access to their credit history, making it difficult to rent housing, get loans, or prove financial stability.

HMW (How Might We) Question

How might we build a trusted global credit standard that simplifies access to essential services like housing, loans, and utilities?

What It Does

  1. Link Your Accounts
Securely connect your bank, credit report, and payment history (rent, utilities, etc.).

  2. Get Your Global Credit Score
We analyze your financial history and generate a verified Global Credit Score you can trust.

  3. Use It Where It Matters
Share your score with landlords, banks, or immigration offices to prove your financial credibility.

How We Built It

We built the entire project with Bolt. We started with market research to define the problem and then developed the business model and key features. Using LLMs, we created prompts and generated the product with Bolt. The first result was promising, but not complete, so we iterated, refined, and ensured visual consistency across the platform. We also integrated Supabase and successfully connected our backend. From ideation to development and presentation, we completed the entire project in just 7 hours.

Challenges We Ran Into

We faced some technical errors along the way, but were able to resolve them using Bolt’s chat support. Each time something broke, Bolt helped us fix it quickly.

Accomplishments We’re Proud Of

Despite a tight 7-hour time frame, we built everything from scratch and delivered a working prototype. We're proud that the product runs smoothly and solves a real problem.

What We Learned

This project taught us that it's absolutely possible to build something meaningful from scratch even under pressure. As a team of product designers without coding experience, we were worried at first. But we successfully launched our prototype without needing developer help. Now we feel confident and excited to take this idea further and build a real business out of it.
