Inspiration

Students experience a lot of stress, and burnout can feel horrible and uncontrollable. At times, I would notice myself distancing myself from work and generally feeling unmotivated. Although I noticed these changes, I did not know how to stop myself from feeling that way, and was in no way in that moment inclined to decide how. That’s when I decided that I need a way to plan for these types of situations beforehand.

What it does

Through guided questions, the user lays out a plan for different stages of emotional wellbeing. The app then uses user-inputted and data retrieved from the device to determine if the user is at risk or is in the process of burnout.

How we built it

Figma was used to design the look and feel of the app. React Native was used to build the app.

Challenges we ran into

All team members had little to no experience working with React Native prior to this project. We also ran into a lot of roadblocks trying to implement the design we wanted to its full capacity, as it required a lot of custom navigation styling.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting it running!

What's next for aloe

We plan to continue building so that it can become a usable product- this means creating a complete application that can store and retrieve different types of user data to generate system predictions.
