Inspiration
The challenge asked us to be creative, so we were inspired by a concept that we learned in a subject called Introduction to Audiovisual Processing, and we decided to modify this concept and apply it to an entirely different area: supply chain forecasting.
What it does
It uses an adaptive filter to predict future inventory data based on the most recent observations that we have available.
How we built it
We built it using python and the modified algorithm steps for the adaptive filter.
Challenges we ran into
At first, we tried to use a machine learning approach, but we realised that we didn't have the necessary knowledge to tackle this problem. We had two choices: learn more about ML or create our own approach, and we decided that we would have more fun with the second option.
Additionally, it was challenging to adapt a concept that had been designed for a very different use case.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the fact that we had an idea that we thought we could have fun with, and we managed to follow it through to the end.
What we learned
We learned how to be creative and how to execute our own idea from start to finish, even if we don't get the best results.
What's next for AlNostreRitme
First of all, sleeping. Then, more freestyle, or finally learning about ML.
