Inspiration

Our inspiration for NicheNode stemmed from a shared frustration: the immense difficulty in finding truly specialized expertise for highly unique problems. Traditional platforms often lead to generic results, lengthy vetting processes, and a lack of transparency. We saw a glaring need for a direct, trustworthy, and efficient bridge between individuals and businesses seeking ultra-specific, "niche" skills, and the experts who possess them. We were particularly motivated by the potential of decentralized technologies to foster trust and fairness, eliminating the need for burdensome intermediaries.

What it does

NicheNode is a pioneering decentralized, AI-moderated micro-consulting network designed to connect Seekers with Consultants possessing highly specialized, niche skills. It enables quick, focused, and secure micro-consultations, allowing users to get precise answers and and guidance without the overhead of traditional long-term engagements.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

Building NicheNode presented several exciting challenges, especially within the confines of a hackathon:
Algorand Integration Complexity: Implementing secure, trustless payment flows on the Algorand blockchain required careful attention to smart contract logic and wallet integration.
AI Moderation Accuracy: Designing and training the AI to effectively verify highly specialized and diverse niche skills was a significant hurdle.
UI/UX for Decentralized Features: Translating complex blockchain and AI concepts into a simple, intuitive, and user-friendly interface was a constant design challenge.
Monetization Strategy & Implementation: Identifying and planning for a sustainable monetization strategy that aligns with decentralized principles and navigating payment processing complexities for future premium features presented a conceptual challenge.
Engaging User Onboarding: Crafting an initial user experience that effectively introduces the platform's unique decentralized and AI features to new users in an engaging manner.
Hackathon Time Constraints: Rapid prototyping and integrating multiple advanced concepts within a limited timeframe pushed our development capabilities.
