Inspiration
Exchanging LinkedIns at an event typically leads to... never again meeting. Even if you say you will!
What it does
Two people meet, they decide to meet again. They connect on Telegram, create a group chat and add our bot.
The bot asks them what habits they would like to adopt and on what cadence and then pings them using that cadence.
The app keeps a Duolingo-like tally of the "streak" the two people are achieving (have they really met, are they engaging with each other, etc.).
The app divides the various group chats into 😄 | 😐 | 💀 depending on how well your streak scores for the various conversations is going.
How we built it
Python backend + telegram API + mongoDB + React Native + gpt4
Challenges we ran into
Claude wasn't good at following our prompts, we spent a lot of time trying to get it to work but ended up using GPT4. Specifically Claude struggled to follow the expected output schema, and to generate RRULES.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The front-end of the phone app, the prompt for our AI model :) !
What we learned
We learned mongoDB, teamwork (we met yesterday).
What's next for Ally
We want to apply it to Whatsapp because the experience would be much smoother (the bot could drop the connecting users into a group chat via QR code) but to do that we need to verify a business account and use Twilio.
