Allure is a smartphone based health safety platform that uses only an iPhone to perform fast, noninvasive health screenings. The app records seismocardiography (SCG) using the phone’s built in gyroscope while it is placed against the chest and measures heart rate and blood flow through photoplethysmography (PPG) with a fingertip scan on the camera. A brief sound sample provides a small additional physiological signal alongside these measurements. Together, these simple tests capture valuable health information including heart rate, rhythm, circulation, and mechanical heart activity. Research published by the National Institutes of Health and other leading medical institutions has demonstrated that these smartphone based sensing techniques can provide meaningful physiological measurements with high accuracy using standard mobile hardware.
The goal of Allure is to improve personal safety by making routine health monitoring simple, accessible, and proactive. Rather than focusing on diagnosing disease, the platform helps users establish a personal health baseline, monitor trends over time, and recognize meaningful improvements or declines before they become significant concerns. Based on screening results, Allure provides practical wellness recommendations such as hydration, recovery guidance, nutrition, and appropriate vitamin or supplement suggestions while encouraging users to seek professional medical advice when needed. Because the entire screening process takes only a few minutes and requires nothing beyond an iPhone, it can be performed regularly by people of all ages. Its ease of use and scalability make preventive health monitoring practical for schools, workplaces, families, and communities, helping promote informed decisions, earlier intervention when appropriate, and a safer, healthier population.
