Inspiration
I created Allumino after realizing firsthand how many students, like me, struggle to discover their strengths and career paths—so I built an AI that detects hidden STEM talent and guides every learner toward their future with clarity and opportunity.
What it does
Allumino is an AI platform that detects students’ hidden STEM talents, personalizes learning and career pathways, and connects them to real-world opportunities based on their skills and regional context.
How we built it
We built it through various languages and frameworks, that you can see below, but we created our own ML model for this specific application using different libraries like HF transformers and XGboost through python.
Challenges we ran into
Primarily, we had some dependency issue with the frontend and while making the AI, we weren't sure what would be the perfect parameters or batch sizes.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our collaborative efforts that was able to make this happen, finishing up the frontend, backend and the AI component.
What we learned
We learned to collaborate with each other proficiently, using our time efficiently throughout the 35 hours in hack the valley.
What's next for Allumino
Expansion beyond this competition and making this is a real and applicable startup.
