Alloc

Inspiration

First-year SCS students were asked to plan out our study times hour-by-hour in our First-year Immigration Course, with the goal of maximizing our productivity and work-life balance. Alloc aims to apply this principle of interleaving subjects and one-hour focus intervals to a wider range of tasks.

What it does

Allocates the time you need for certain times into one-hour intervals distributed throughout the time before the deadline.

How we built it

We used Python and SQLite.

Challenges we ran into

The time constraints proved challenging to our team.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we managed to learn and write ical files, as well as our productive teamwork.

What we learned

We familiarized ourselves with object-oriented-programming, and became better at working with a team.

What's next for Alloc

Writing our finalized allocated calendar to an exportable iCal file.
