Inspiration
Inspired by the stress of downloading multiple bank apps each time we get a new phone and the amount of space each app consume on our phones, we thought of finding a one app solution to these problems
What it does
It displays your total financial networth in the respective currency while showing the amount you have in each bank account. You can also use it to predict your spending pattern and thus be able to make adjustments to your spending where necessary. You can also use it to generate your banking history.
How we built it
We used flutter for the application. We also carried out market research to see the feasibility of building something like this and to ascertain who our target audience will be.
Challenges we ran into
We had a not-so-good system from our technical team in terms of low system specifications such as RAM, GPU, and processor speed. This hindered the smooth running of the project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We had to push ourselves into constant meetings, almost every 2 days (extract of each meeting's minutes is available on request). Some of us also had to learn Flutter and react-native in order to be able to choose the best one for the project. We later settled for flutter after extensive consultation and deliberations. The analytics team also had to learn new models in order to be able to decide on which target audience should we begin with. We are proud of the strength of the team and the synergy we had was really top-notch
What we learned
We learned that life is full of challenges and we learned how to face these challenges head-on as a team without leaving anyone out
