Inspiration
Meet Nitya, a young designer whose journey has shaped the very essence of our project, Team YOU. From a young age, Nitya's life was filled with Barbie dolls—just Barbies, never Ken. As she grew older, her path diverged from what society considered "normal." She began to realize she was drawn to girls rather than boys, a revelation that sparked a whirlwind of emotions. Confusion, self-doubt, and fear became constants in her life. One evening, as Nitya watched a film with LGBTQ+ themes, she noticed her parents' discomfort, their negative reactions sending a powerful message. It wasn't just the fear of rejection from her friends or society at large that weighed her down—it was the fear of being misunderstood by her family. The need for acceptance and love clashed with her desire to embrace her true identity. Nitya's experience mirrors the reality of so many within the LGBTQ+ community, and it inspired Team YOU to create a project that helps people like her find their voice, seek acceptance, and receive the support they deserve.

We have developed a prototype and have a clear roadmap ahead: in 6 months, we'll officially launch our app, focusing on acquiring our initial user base through aggressive marketing, strategic partnerships, and community outreach. Post-launch, we'll refine the user experience and add functionalities. Over the next 2 years, we aim to grow our community with key partnerships, hosting events and forums to foster support. Continuous updates and data-driven improvements will enable us to meet evolving user needs effectively.
