💱 Inspiration
The explosive growth of stablecoins—and the broader cryptocurrency market—shows the world needs real-time, intelligent analytics. Inspired by PayPal’s PYUSD and a new wave of digital asset innovation, we envisioned a universal dashboard to empower everyone, including small businesses and pro traders. The fusion of advanced cloud-native AI like Google Gemini, fast news sentiment, and persistent storage via MongoDB pushes analytics past simple charts into actionable context. The “AI in Action” hackathon, emphasizing Google Cloud, MongoDB, and GitLab, was the catalyst for our CyberMatrix vision for advanced crypto metrics.

CyberMatrix Analytics Dashboard v2.1 is your all-in-one cloud solution for multi-chain cryptocurrency and stablecoin analytics, deploying the latest Streamlit tech on Google Cloud Run.
- Efficient Event Feeds: Track stablecoin & crypto transactions (PYUSD, USDT, USDC, more), mint/burns, and smart contract events. MongoDB caching + GCP Blockchain RPC = instant data.
- In-depth Analysis: Volume calculations, tagged address leaderboards, network graphs of asset flows—backed by rich data in MongoDB and GCP.
- Historical Exploration: Analyze events across block ranges with on-demand queries, pulling from cache or live blockchain.
- Blockchain & Address Tools: Address balances, persistent MongoDB watchlists, contract states, transaction lookup and block explorer for power users.
- AI-Powered Insights (Gemini): Onboard AI assistant answers your crypto questions, surfaces news sentiment, and generates actionable summaries.
- Contextual Info & Search: Breaking news feeds from NewsAPI, stored/searchable in MongoDB.
- Innovative Simulation: Simulated bio-implant crypto payments to test future fintech concepts.
- User-Friendly Perks: One-click data export (CSV), custom CyberMatrix UI, emoji-rich theming.

- External Data: NewsAPI imports fresh crypto news for analytics.
- Visualization: Pandas, Plotly, Pyvis for deep-dive charts and network maps.
- Version Control: Fully managed in GitLab—automatic builds mean less ops, more crypto.
📡 Challenges we ran into
- IAM Permissions: Fine-tuning Cloud IAM roles was vital—missteps meant instant deployment blocks.
- Resource Management: Balancing RAM and CPU for big-data analytics and avoiding serverless timeouts.
- Data Design: Crafting MongoDB schemas for event, news, and user watchlists to maximize speed and reliability.
- RPC Fallbacks: Robust caching logic—first cache, fallback RPC—so users never wait for fresh data.
- Query Optimization: Performance tuning for event and news feeds, compound/text indexes for speed.
- Previous Challenges: ABI issues, Streamlit state, and tailoring Gemini prompts for optimal results.
