The overturn of Roe v. Wade

My website All About Abortions aims to provide resources, information, and inspiration for individuals so we can all come together and get our voices heard. On the home page, there is a short summary of the website and quotes from inspirational figures. On the resources page, there are links to organizations people can donate to and refer to for resources. The about page includes a personal statement. On the facts page, there is a facts generator that generates facts and statistics about abortions. In the clinics page, I embedded a google map to show where you can find an abortion clinic near you. In the why section, I wrote a mini informational paragraph using information I researched and I also included a graph as a helpful visual. Lastly, in the take action page, I made a list of different actions someone could take. #

I used HTML as my basic "frame". That's where I included all my texts and images; that's where I also made my navigation bar. I then used CSS to change the font, color, padding, and size of different things on my website. I then used Javascript to add interactivity to my facts generator so when a user clicks on the click me button, the generator will generate different facts. I made sure to use contrasting colors and big font sizes so it's more accessible to people who are visually impaired. # How we built it

When I first started building this website, I forgot how to link the different pages together into one whole website using a navigation bar so I spent a very big chunk of my time working on the navigation bar. I also ran into bugs when I started customizing the font sizes and positioning. Often, I would code, but when I ran the code, nothing would happen. I was quite frustrated but I was able to work through those bugs with help from the mentors! Lastly, embedding the google map into the clinics page took some time because it was my first time embedding a map, so I also had to get help from a mentor but I was able to figure it out at the end!# Challenges we ran into

I'm very proud of myself for figuring out how to code a navigation bar and embed a google map! I'm also proud of my braveness for asking for help. # Accomplishments that we're proud of

I learned some technical things like how to embed a google map but most importantly, I learned to persevere through a bug when I ran into one. I think that's the most important because instead of giving up and scrapping my map idea, I decided to go forward and just do it. # What we learned
