Inspiration

Because of COVID-19, people are all quarantined at home, so they don’t have access to the gym anymore. Since workout is a great attribute to both mental and physical health, we want to create a platform to encourage people to do workout at home and do it together.

What it does

AliveVG is the abbreviation of Alive Virtual Gym which provides resources such as workout routines, healthy menus, and streaming sites for people to exercise with other people. Moreover, the platform also encourages people to consider workouts as a means to stay healthy and positive during the pandemic, so we provide people to earn redeem points if they have worked for a period of time so that they can use the points to purchase classes.

How I built it

We used Bubble as our main tool and built an interactive and accessible website.

Challenges I ran into

We used Bubble as our main tool and built an interactive and accessible website. Our team is formed by four people who are from different time zones, so maintaining efficient communications is a big challenge for us. Moreover, as it is our first time engaging with Bubble, we spent some time trying to get used to its functions.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Even though we faced the challenges above, we have been able to use Bubble to deploy a low code final version of our webapp. We worked together as a team, and learned the skills together.

What I learned

We learned how to use Bubble to create a prototype for our project and use workflow to make connections for each page and step.

What's next for AliveVG

For further steps, we decided to definitely improve the navigation of the web app and make the transitions more smooth and easy to approach. Moreover, we would complete our user research and finalize what features or functions should be added or deleted. Last but not least, we should use a reliable database and finalize the project by modifying the existing machine learning algorithm.
