Inspiration
Many Muslim college students, living away from home tend to feel a disconnect from their faith, feeling these Islamic concepts being presented in an unrelatable way.
What it does
Presenting Alif: an islamic game with a daily quest of guessing 5 letters. You are able to embark on challenges, compete with friends in points, all while learning about islam and being able to apply it into your own life. There are themes based on the day of the week!
How we built it
We utilized our personal experiences and games we have played before to consider ways that would be appealing for Muslim college students.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into issues within our interface, as it wasn't appealing or cohesive.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to create an app that was effective, and informative. We appreciated the social aspect of the game, creating friendly competition.
What we learned
We learned how to work in a team, and come up with a solution to a relevant issue.
