Inspiration

We were Inspired by the game Among Us.

What is the game about

With the topic assigned in mind, Our game is about a scientist who is trying to escape from the building through a launch pad but needs to defeat the aliens. If he is unable to do so he will be terminated by the aliens and if he manages to reach the launchpad.

How we built it

Our game was made on unity. We designed the map, the Animations etc. on blender and with the help of websites such as 'mixamo' and 'sketchfab'.

Challenges we ran into

We had problems while doing the textures for the maps but then came up with the conclusion that the texturing was having trouble rendering due to the school WIFI speed being slow. Moreover, Compatibility issues arised as we were trying to load up the map into the game. Further, Due to time constraints, We were shedding blood sweat and tears in order to successfully submit the game on time unfortunately, leading us to miss out on some small details on the game functionality.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Fixing the compatibility issue took us HOURS to figure out but eventually we were able to fix it. Our team was incredibility demotivated but after, with the help of head of game development, we were able to fix the compatibility issue of UNITY and BLENDER and got the game running

What we learned

We learned that expecting everything to just go right is something that should be completely avoided. As we all being in the wrong misconception of everything going to be fine caused us to ease up the tension and also lead to us unable to resolve any bugs, and even if we finally debugged all issues, we were unable to add more functionalities which our team hoped to do
