What Inspired Me
What inspired me was that when I thought of games my mind went to Space Invaders. The game was so popular in the arcades and super fun to play when I thought why don't I make the same game but with better ships and experience.
What it does
This game will bring you back to the arcade and remember how fun these tiny little games are even when the more complex games are out there.
How I built it
I had some help with the AWS AI tool to make the structure but I fixed some parts to make it better. The other tool I used was called aws-codepack this helped me indent and help me on a few parts of the code.
Challenges I ran into
Some challenges I ran into was when you could not see the aliens and you could not get damaged when a missile hit you. This posed a problem because what fun is a game when there is no challenge to overcome.
Accomplishments that I am proud of
The top accomplishment that I am proud of I when I finally made the code work. This was an great goal for me to hit because it was my second time debugging and I did a good job if I do say so my self.
What I learned
I learned some more code from the AI tool that AWS gave me and I will look forward to make better projects in the future.
What's next for Alien Invasion
I am probably going to make levels instead of making it into an infinite loop. Then in the end I will make a cool video about the game and show the player their highest score.
