Inspiration

People around me love affirmations and would also love to have an app for it, but most apps feel very serious, rigid, or bland. Therefore, I wanted to build something playful, where daily encouragement comes from quirky aliens and a caring Universe.

What it does

It’s an affirmation and daily horoscope app with different alien characters. The Universe offers gentle coaching while unique aliens deliver quotes, helping people spark self-love, courage, focus, or deep relaxation.

How I built it

I used bolt for the UI and structure, Midjourney for all images, OpenAI to create endless affirmations in different styles and daily horsocopes, elevenlabs to create a chatbot (The Universe) I integrated as widget.

Challenges I ran into

It was my first project ever using bolt, so I had to learn how to trouble shoot and feed bolt with screenshots of error messages or ask ChatGPT for help.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I created a fun, welcoming space with memorable characters. I’m proud The Universe feels genuinely kind, and that the app stays simple and delightful to use.

A ton of things. How to use bolt. How to integrate API keys, how to create rather consistant images with Midjourney and how to deploy a project.

What's next for Alien Affirmation App

Maybe add a sign up / sign in so users can save affirmations. Work more on The Universe.
