Inspiration
We're taking a quantum computing class right now and decided to try and learn more about the space and apply what we already know by competing. Error correction isn't something we've learned about before so there was a lot of learning!
What it does
We work through the tasks and write down our observations. In the last task, we design the preparation for a state to land in a specific state, starting from vacuum, and this uses what we learned from task 1.1.
Challenges we ran into
We spent a lot of time learning the physics and connecting it to the math, which took away from our experimentation time, but we were able to aim for something simple.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learned about error correction and how cat qubits work to reduce errors. We also put something together really fast to show what we learned quantitatively! We also learned ho to delegate grok bots agents to do research for us and run simulations, while we worked on verifying the results and debugging the code
What's next for Alice and Bob Challenge: McLovin
We'll probably try some more preparations in the future and see how they diverge.
