Inspiration

The inspiration for this project arose from the limitations of traditional ride-sharing platforms, where centralized intermediaries impose high fees. We aimed to create a decentralized solution that empowers both drivers and riders, utilizing Fetch.ai's Uagents to facilitate direct interactions and negotiations.

What it does

Our decentralized ride-sharing service connects drivers and riders directly, leveraging Fetch.ai's Uagents to automate negotiations and price comparisons. This enables users to negotiate terms and transact without the overhead costs associated with centralized platforms.

How we built it

We built the platform using Fetch.ai's Uagents to handle automatic negotiations on behalf of drivers. We created another agent that compares prices across various platforms, selecting the lowest fare for riders. The backend was developed with a focus on scalability and security, while the user-friendly interface simplifies interactions for users.

Challenges we ran into

We faced several challenges, including:

  • Technical Complexity: Integrating Fetch.ai's Uagents required in-depth knowledge of their framework and functionality.
  • User Adoption: Convincing users to switch from established platforms to a new, decentralized model was a significant hurdle.
